Pascal Demkó, the founder's mother, proposed that for his father's birthday, they could buy a few square meters of vineyard as a souvenir in the area where the grandparents once had a crescent. This led to the purchase of the first small parcel of land on Dorgó-tető.
After the purchase of the first 2.5 hectares the recultivation of the vineyards will begin simultaneously with the technological development. The acquisition of small-capacity stainless steel tanks enables the production of micro-parcellaire batches so each plot and variety can be handled separately allowing precise selection and product structure.
This area was the biggest surprise providing wonderful ingredients for our dry and sweet wines. Due to its diversity, it has become one of our most valuable vineyards without which our portfolio today would not be so exciting.
The year marked the first quality aszú berry harvest for our inaugural 6 puttonyos Tokaj Aszú vintage. This period also signified the beginning of our portfolio development, along with the acquisition of a cellar in the UNESCO World Heritage area.
During this vintage, the brand's currently essential wines such as Eloquence, Meditation, Signature, and Expression are already carefully crafted. It becomes clear that the emphasis should not be placed only on furmint. At that time, the grapes were processed in the renovated Vincellérház building, and the first larger stainless steel tank arrived at the winery.
From March 2011 to 2013, a 1.8 km long, three-level cellar labyrinth was built and renovated through a series of extremely complex projects. This cellar is directly connected to the modern winery building, effectively blending the old and the new in the heart of the village of Mád.
Our special treasure-hunting cellar tour with a map starts, and our terrace and showroom will also open, where current wines and vintages can be tasted on any day of the week.
The goal of this unique program is to provide renters with exclusive experiences through the years and also to provide them with a safe storage option for wine investment.
The winery complex designed by BORD Építész Stúdió wins a bronze medal at the Italian A'Awards international architecture competition.
The Culture aszú en primeur program is born, through which our 6 puttonyos Tokaj aszú wines can be purchased already in the year of the harvest. The wine of memories is delivered after an 8-year aging process.
THE TOKAJ REGION BECAME THE FIRST TO BE DECLARED PROTECTED WINE PRODUCTION DISTRICT THROUGH THE VINEYARD CLASSIFICATION IN 1737.
The Mád basin is a remarkable region in the world of winemaking, distinguished by its unique soil as well as its macro- and microclimates. The crus classifications identify parcels that have consistently produced outstanding quality vines over the centuries. Drawing from this ancestral knowledge, we have carefully selected 30 parcels across 7 different vineyards.
The soil in each parcel is rich and diverse, which is beautifully reflected in the variety of wines we create in our distinctive style. This richness and diversity enable us to create 6 puttonyos aszú in every vintage, confirming the raison d'être of the two vineyard classifications. A wine that symbolizes the uniqueness of Tokaj.

A 2022-es év minden szempontból a nehézségekről szólt. Ezt Birtokunk szintjén tovább fokozta a megszokottól extrém módon eltérő időjárás. Több gondolkodás és súlyosabb döntések jellemezték az évjáratot, amelyben elsődleges célunk az volt, hogy alapvető tételeinket megfelelő minőségben tudjuk elkészíteni.
A 2021-es szüreti ciklusunk során az időjárás végleteivel kellett szembenéznie szőlészeti csapatunknak. A történelmi, első osztályú mádi dűlők ebben a nehéz évjáratban is sikeresen bizonyították megbízhatóságukat.

2022 was all about challenges and sad events in the world. Difficulties caused by the unusually extreme weather in Hungary deepened the problems. Solutions required deeper thoughts, more precise planning and harder decisions at the Estate this year. First and foremost the goal was to create all of our main products in high quality.
The weather conditions were extreme during the harvest period of 2021 but the historical first growth vineyards of Mád and our professional team have once again proved their credibility.
