Cellar visit with a map
7 900 Ft
Tickets will be automatically sent to your e-mail address after finalizing your order with our export manager.
After visiting the elegant showroom and our winemaking facilities using NASA technology, we enter the 500-year-old cellar system of the estate. It is an almost 2 km long labyrinth with 3 levels and numerous corridors. During the visit, a treasure map will be your most important tool to find the fine wines included in the wine list. At the stops, our colleagues will tell you more about our wines and the rich history of the cellar.
Tastings are available for 1-2 people
without reservation,
and there is no minimum limit
to the number of people who can attend.
However, we recommend
making a reservation to secure your preferred time slot
and to ensure that at least one of our colleagues is available to welcome you.

Our estate is open every day: Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, on Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm. Please note that our opening hours may be modified due to maintenance, events, and public holidays. Before planning your trip, we kindly ask you to check our Google Business account or the website for updates. Our winery is always closed on the following days: 1 January, Easter Sunday, and Monday, 1 November, 25-26 December.
You can book your visit via emailvisit@holdvolgy.comphone +36 70 391 46 43 or on this website using our online booking form. Our colleagues responsible for hospitality and guest experience will do their best to contact you within 1 day of your inquiry.
The duration of cellar tours is approximately 1.5-2 hours. The Tokaji aszú wine tasting experience always lasts over 2 hours due to a special seated program. Available languages: English and Hungarian.
All four programs include a visit to the showroom, the wine-making facilities, and the cellar. Our treasure hunt experiences always focus on the cellar. A map is also included to help you find the wines in the labyrinth, and our colleagues will provide you with all the historical facts about the place. The Aszú tasting experience is slightly different. It involves a shorter tour of the winery and the cellar, with a focus on the aszú tasting, which takes place seated in a separate tasting room.
In the cellar, the temperature is consistently around 12°C (53.6°F) throughout the year. We advise wearing a sweater or jacket when visiting. Additionally, some hallways and areas of the cellar may be wet and slippery, so it's essential to wear appropriate footwear.
Our estate is located at Árpád Street 13, right in the center of Mád. The main entrance is accessible from this street as well. Free parking is available within the estate based on the availability of spots. Additionally, you can park on the streets near the winery. It takes a 16-minute walk from the train station and only 6 minutes from the bus stop.
Tickets can be ordered online with assistance from our export manager and in person at our Estate. Currently, direct online purchases are only available through our Hungarian site and require a Hungarian billing address.
The purchased tickets are valid for 12 months and can be gifted away. However, guests must present either their online or offline tickets before the cellar tour. If you purchase tickets using a Hungarian billing address, they will be automatically sent to your email address. Please note that these tickets are not time-bound, except for tickets related to special events and tastings.
Guests under 18 cannot be served alcohol, but they can still take part in the tour and visit all the facilities free of charge. Children are also welcome, and upon request, we can provide syrup or chocolate for them to search for in the cellar, allowing them to fully participate in the experience.
Tours can be enjoyed without alcohol consumption. However, there will be a charge of 2,500 HUF for adults, which can be used as a coupon in our wine shop.
You can safely visit the outdoor spaces, terrace, and showroom with a wheelchair or other mobility aids. Wine tastings can also take place in these areas in special cases. Unfortunately, the cellar can only be accessed via steps, and there are narrow hallways and small stairs that may make it difficult for people with mobility support to move around.
Pets are welcome in the park and on our terrace; however, due to food safety restrictions, they cannot be brought into the indoor spaces. Currently, we cannot supervise pets during the tours.
To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, we expect all guests to follow our code of conduct and participation rules. If you or your company are inebriated and unable to participate in the tour, please remain on our terrace or outside the Estate. To maintain the comfort of our guests and staff during the visits, we reserve the right to ask uncooperative or intoxicated guests to leave the estate. We will not serve further drinks to these individuals.
